Easiest pea hummus (vegan, GF)
This wonderfully easy & delicious hummus might just be your new favorite appetizer. Serve it with bread, crackers, or whatever you desire.
- 1 1/2 cups cooked chickpeas | 250g or one 14-oz can, drained
- 1 cup cooked green peas | 170g
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup water | 60g; plus more as needed
- 3 tbsp tahini | 45g
- 1/2 tsp sea salt | plus more to taste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper | or to taste
- 3 tbsp olive oil | 42g; extra virgin
Combine all ingredients except olive oil in a food processor. Begin blending while streaming in the olive oil.
If the mixture is too dry, add more water as needed. Blend until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
Taste and adjust the seasonings if needed. Serve immediately.
